Perfect Weather

The weather was perfect today- sunny and warm but without the characteristic Florida humidity. I turned off the AC, opened up all the windows, and planned on spending as much time as possible outdoors.

I tried to have a picnic lunch under a tree in the front yard. Grace was more interested in examining an ant hill nearby and trying to stick her finger down the hole. Or running off to bounce her ball. Or taking her baby for a stroll. Or waving to every neighbor we saw pass by. She wanted to do everything but sit and eat her lunch. At first I chased her around trying to get her to take a few bites, but I finally gave up and figured she would eat when she got hungry. And sure enough, once we went inside after all the playing, she was saying, "Eat, eat!"

I doubt this weather will last too long, but we will certainly do our best to enjoy it.
