We finished up our last day of vacation at Hollywood Studios. It's the place to go if all you want to do is watch a bunch of shows indoors. Which worked out perfectly for us because it was HOT out. Grace enjoyed a couple shows, had a couple meltdowns, and then passed out completely. All before lunch. Mike and I spent the rest of the time there browsing souvenir shops. I didn't really want to buy anything- I was just trying to find something to do that involved some AC.
Before heading back home, we went to visit my dear friend, Sharen, and her family in Orlando. Her kids are just the cutest and Grace loved being their little doll as they dressed her up, first as a Christmas Princess, then as a Fairy Queen. It's a shame we only had a couple of hours to catch up, but we promised to see more of each other now that we're a manageable two and half hours away.
Here's our day through pictures...
Our little navigator reading the map.
Waiting for the Mickey and friends show to start.
Absolute joy in seeing Mickey Mouse and company. I just loved seeing this expression on her face all throughout the week. Disney is such a place of wonder!
Grace loved this area. She thought she was on Sesame Street.
Meltdown number 1: Upset that we were leaving 'Sesame Street'.
Look at that tear streaked face!
Cheered up again when we found this fire hydrant sprinkler.
Meltdown number 2: Furious that I stopped her from going swimming in the fountain.
Passed out at the Beauty and the Beast musical show.
Posing with Sharen, from whom I learned how to make my arms look skinnier on camera!
Grace and the beautiful Aberg children. It's so heartwarming to see our children together like this because we were about their age when we first met.
