Ice Cream Celebration

I love ice cream. Always have, always will. It doesn't take much for us to use any excuse to celebrate with a little ice cream. But tonight's ice cream celebration was actually legit. After dinner, we went out in search of a *Dairy Queen to celebrate Mike's selection for promotion to Lieutenant Commander.

Congratulations, Babe! It is well deserved and we are all so proud of you!

* I know Dairy Queen doesn't seem like an appropriate place to celebrate such a great accomplishment, but after Grace's monkey behavior at last night's pizza outing, we thought we'd play it safe.

My little fashionista dug this toilet paper roll out of the trash can and decided it would make a lovely bangle.

She has become quite adept at digging through my dresser drawers and this is what she pulled out today.

Congrats!!! That is wonderful news!

Don't you love how fine dining is a thing of the past with kiddos? When they get old enough to behave they are old enough to voice their dislike of non kid food.

Again, Congratulations!!

Emily loves bras. Anytime she sees one, she requests it and will not stop requesting it until you give it to her. So funny...I keep telling her...one day you won't want that!!! :-)

Congratulations Mike, we are so very proud of you. A well deserved promotion. We will celebrate to our favorite place here in Virginia Beach second to Kapamilya Restaurant (Pungo Pizza) when you get here.

Grace is soo cute with her taste of fashion. Nice bangle and bib..

Congratulations, son! It doesn't seem so long ago that I found my name on the O4 selection list...when you were 5 years old. Naval officer promotion brings with it increased responsibility and accountability, in unequal proportions. Savor the moment.

Love to all and big hugs to Grace,
