No Lazy Sunday

While we definitely enjoy us some lazy Sundays around here, today was not one of those days. When I woke up this morning, I had no idea what the day had in store for us. We didn't have any set plans other than try to enjoy our family time as much as possible.

We started off with church where Grace behaved beautifully. Then it was lunch and some shopping- running shoes for Mike, workout gear for me, and swim stuff for Grace. Afterwards, we risked a skipped afternoon nap for Grace and headed to the zoo to check out their animated life-size dinosaur exhibit. On the way home, we picked up a pizza for dinner, and as if all that excitement wasn't enough for the day, we headed to the pool until it was almost dark.

It was fun. It was exhausting. It was perfect.

We purchased unlimited carousel rides for all of us. I only lasted one go around because I got too dizzy. I was quite disappointed with my wimpy self. At least Grace had fun hopping from one animal to the next.

She loves feeding the giraffes.

The dinosaurs in the exhibit were life sized, moving, and roaring replicas and Grace really wanted to like them. She was so excited about seeing them. But the moment those things started to move and roar, she clung to her daddy and wouldn't let go.

A sweet kiss for Daddy the hero.

You would think all of the fun plus a skipped nap would mean a super tired Grace who would have no problems going to sleep. Wrong. She babbled to herself in bed for nearly an hour before she finally fell asleep.

All these pictures are so cute. We are amazed at how much Grace resembles her daddy with her short hair. She is such a Princess!
