All I Got

Sorry, but these are the only pictures of Grace I took today. Playing with the nose syringe. At least she knows what to do with it.

Today's goal was to go out and look at some TV's since the one we have now is nearly dead. Watching the screen is like looking at thermal imaging. As if that wasn't bad enough, the volume goes randomly mute. Lesson learned, don't buy a non-brand TV ever again. I'm not a big TV watcher and consequently, neither is Grace, but there are times when it's helpful to pop in an Elmo DVD to have a few minutes to cook or clean in peace. And although I don't watch a lot of TV shows, I do enjoy watching movies, especially now that Grace sleeps early enough for me to do so.

I accomplished today's goal- I looked at a bunch of TV's, but I didn't get very far with purchasing one. I have no clue when it comes to electronics so I felt very lost standing in the TV section, staring at all the screens like an idiot. I simultaneously wished for someone to ask me if I needed help and wished they would leave me alone so I wouldn't sound like an dummy trying to talk about televisions. This is normally Mike's responsibility, but I can't have Grace going through the entire summer watching Elmo turn shades of green, purple, and yellow. I'm afraid I'm doing damage to her eyes.

Maybe I'll try Best Buy tomorrow. They're supposed to be super helpful, especially for technologically impaired people like me.

To make myself feel better, I treated Grace and myself to some Chick-fil-a for dinner. Then to top it all off, I finally got to talk to Mike for more than just a few hurried minutes! It's such a rare treat that when it was time to say goodbye, I got all teary-eyed. Believe me when I say I'm not usually a crier, but this deployment has turned me into the biggest cry baby ever.

You can't go wrong with a Sony or Panasonic LCD HD TV. The NEX sells them, as well as Best Buy. Get 1080 resolution for a better quality picture than 720.

Deployments make me a cry baby too. Heck, this vacation without my hubby has made me a huge cry baby. Ugghhh....

I am also worthless with the televisions, or anything that requires a plug.

Happy TV hunting tomorrow!!
