Why such a look of wonder on daddy and daughter's faces?
Because they were looking at this...
It was so big I couldn't even get the whole thing in my camera frame. We went to the ship's children's Christmas party which was held at a bouncy house place, and this dragon inflatable was huge. I've never seen anything like it. Grace was a little intimidated by the thing, as was I, and both she and I insisted that daddy go in with her.
After a while, she was okay with going in without daddy reinforcement. I was still a nervous wreck. Did I mention how HUGE that thing was? I was afraid I wouldn't see my child come out again!
The rest of the party was more relaxing for me since it involved pizza, cake and ice cream, and a visit from Santa.
Holding hands with her buddy while waiting to visit with Santa.
They were having such an intense conversation! When I later asked what they were talking about, Grace said they were telling each other what was on their Christmas wish list- Spiderman for Ty and a purple bear for Grace.
When Grace is nervous, this is what she looks like- she bites her cheeks and makes a fishy-face, and my normally talkative girl turns mute. In this instance, she is nervous because Santa was coming around for a quick little hello.
As you can see, she warmed up to him later. The fact that he had a small gift for her could have something to do with the smile, as well.
