Happy Birthday!

The last time I had a baby in my life was when my youngest brother, Josh, was born. He's now 13 years old- how quickly time flies. Back then, spoiled thing that he was (and still is), we celebrated his birthday every month complete with a Carvel ice cream cake.

Now that my mom has a grandbaby, she has decided that we should celebrate Grace's birthday every week- at least while she's here visiting. So for Grace's first week birthday celebration, she made us a steak lunch complete with salad, baked potatoes, and garlic bread. I was going to make cupcakes for dessert, but a friend brought by a huge pan of brownies so we substituted that for her birthday cake.

I can't believe she's already been in this world for a whole week. I'm trying to savor every moment, even the sleep-deprived ones, because I know it goes by in a blink of an eye.

And just to document that she was once so tiny, here are her little feet and hands. Although her feet are kinda huge in proportion with the rest of her. I would say she gets that from dad, but unfortunately, I've got some pretty big feet too. But the toes are definitely her dad's- look how long they are!

Thanks for the update. Those feet are just the sweetest things, and I'm so glad you got a good picture - those are the things you forget.

I know you are loving having your mama there. Rest while you can!

LOL! You make me feel bad for Jasmine - we haven't documented much on her - although last night I spend an hour staring and smelling her - had a bath using Burt's Bees. We did that same exact thing with Mya - printing signs to signify her growth - all with a 35mm Camera... Dang, back in the day! Happy 1 week, doll!!!
